PSP Swiss Property is a leading stock-listed Swiss real estate company with fully integrated asset and property management, overseeing a portfolio of over 150 properties. As such, it continuously seeks to improve operational efficiency, transparency, and sustainability across its portfolio. Specifically, the property management and energy & building services teams, headed by Fabian Laube and Marcel Scheuber, aimed to better understand current processes, identify automation potential, and execute the most feasible solutions.
The Challenge
PSP Swiss Property faced a common challenge in real estate operations: utility consumption data was fragmented across multiple providers, billing systems, smart meter portals, and building management systems. Gathering this information required significant manual effort from property management teams to collect, validate, and consolidate the data. Furthermore, the company aimed to establish a consolidated, clean 'source of truth' dataset to drive multiple value-adding use cases. Beyond sustainability reporting, this data is intended for operational optimization and cost control, adding further complexity to the initiative.
The Process
To address these challenges, Anevo partnered closely with PSP Swiss Property through a phased, collaborative approach:
Process Workshops: Initial deep-dive workshops were conducted to thoroughly map and understand the existing workflows and pain points.
Service-Led Automation: Rather than immediately automating workflows, Anevo first executed many of the tasks on their end semi-automatically as a managed service. This approach allowed the team to develop a detailed understanding of process variations, data structures, and operational requirements.
Integration Analysis: In parallel, Anevo analyzed the company’s internal systems and IT infrastructure to evaluate integration capabilities.
Deployment: With a clear roadmap established, the Anevo solution was deployed to target and automate the most challenging data-gathering processes.

The Solution
Anevo implemented an automated solution that addresses both granular and complete consumption tracking by creating two critical integration pathways:
Utility Provider Integration: Direct connections with utility providers automatically fetch granular smart meter data, eliminating the need to log into disparate vendor portals.
ERP Integration: By integrating directly with the client’s accounts payable system, Anevo captures and extracts the full utility consumption and cost data embedded within invoices.
The solution automatically standardizes and merges these data streams, giving the property management and energy teams a single, unified view for consumption, spend, and product footprints.
“Anevo enabled us to capture and validate our energy data more efficiently, creating a solid foundation for future-oriented reporting.”
– Fabian Laube, Head of Property Management
The Impact
The implementation delivered immediate improvements in data quality, transparency, and operational efficiency.
By automating utility data collection and invoice processing, PSP Swiss Property significantly improved the completeness of its utility data while reducing the effort required to gather and validate information from multiple sources.
Access to more granular consumption data provides deeper insights into building performance and enables more options regarding operational optimization. An API-first approach by Anevo empowered PSP Swiss Property to feed processed data back into their core system, avoiding process discontinuity. Looking ahead, the existing integrations form a robust foundation for further workflow optimizations and reporting.
